21st July visit Air Force Memorial & Lunch at Kempton's

We were very lucky with the weather on the Sunday of our visit to the beautiful grounds of the Air Force Memorial located at the top of Runnymede Hill in Englefield Green, Surrey.  We had 34 people on this visit to pay our respects to the over 20,000 airmen who died in the Second World War with no known graves.  The views from the memorial over the Thames Valley and the Surrey Hills are amazing.  Most of the vehicles then departed in convoy for our lunch venue Kempton's Restaurant located in the new gated community called Sunningdale Park.  The restaurant is beautiful and the grounds breathtaking.  After a drinks reception on arrival we all enjoyed a Sunday Roast Lunch.  Many of our members remained at Kempton's after lunch to enjoy drinks out on the sunny terrace.  It was also a great opportunity to welcome our new members Paul Murphy and John Ripley and their families to this event.
